Lakeland jaunt!

The ‘life with Bryan’ continues as we take a short jaunt to the Lake District. Sure the weather forecast was for storms (it was correct) but we know that it would re-charge batteries in an incredibly stressful time of the year as the exam season draws close!
Kendal caravan club site is just 90 minutes from home & sited in a wood alongside the river made an ideal Friday night stop. The view of the lightening was superb from the bed in the camper, lying beneath the big roof light!
We had a lovely but dampish walk around Tarn Hows. Years since we have been there but it’s beauty is unchanging. We carried our lunch but ended up eating it back at the camper! We called for afternoon tea at Brantwood, the home of John Ruskin. We decided to forgo the tour of the house until the weather was fit to include the gardens & the view! Home for the night was one of our favourite bolt-holes of old- Park Coppice Caravan Club site at Coniston. The sun came out for an early evening walk by the lake before a night of torrents of rain! It’s been dry enough this morning for Rob to do a 3 mile run & Moss & I to do a little less but the rain is back…..!!! Knit, read? Who cares! Better a wet day in Bryan than a sunny day at work!
